Show NEWS chaplains entertain camp with show and song fiesta chaplain bennion and chaplan chaplain curtis gave a very enjoyable program in the recreation hall tuesday evening the program was opened by group singing lead by chaplain curtis chaplain dennion continued along with explanations exhibition of 0 various slides of 0 utah the slides were of the early pioneers their developments 0 of o the lie state salt lake city in 1899 and pictures af the indian chieftains who were very notable characters during the embryo stages ot of our beehive state these slides were made possible through the L D S church dopart department part ment of education three new V 8 trucks were delivered to co 1338 by mistake these trucks were destined for or a camp in nevada and by somo some up were delivered here monday these trucks were taken to nevada where they will be put in use colds still prevail in camp altho the weather has changed to warm spring like conditions since the 1st ast ot of february there have been men report to the camp dispensary for or medical treatment this number includes men with chronic ailments and those just requiring minor medical attention A one dollar canteen book has been offered tor for the best safety first slogan to be adopted by the camp this slogan will be placed in full view of the members as a reminder at all times baseball is the major pastime in camp now A team has been organized with new equipment which includes baseball uniforms b bats a t s gloves and other necessary paraphernalia pher nalia this should be a big season boason for or baseball in camp F 36 john davis correspondent |
