Show NEW IN SCHOOL we teel feel that operetta tulip time was a success from many points ot of view our pupils gave their best efforts parents friends and business houses gave help and encouragement coura gement in every way possible thus establishing in a degree that spirit of good fellowship and cooperation that should always exist in the relations of home community and school the choruses were ol of a good quality and leading parts well al taken some exceptionally good work was done by donald smith as the burgomaster legrand davies as the american professor and fern moore as aunt anna billy starley and merlin seguine lne were good as the american Ame ritan students whose interests were quickly transferred from botany to the charming little dutch girls christina and katinka parts well taken by thera peterson and shirley nas mussen theodore as hans the handy man and wit of the tha village gave his audience some good laughs at his own el expense pense our pupils got much from the projects of advertising stage decorations and the construction of necessary equipment we have had some new pupils enter school during the past two weeks they are ellis and fayne melville and james sapp ida vada and arthur allen alien are again in school having returned from mesa arizona where they spent the winter on next friday afternoon april we are to have an illustrated lecture by mr moore on the pioneers crossing the plains we look forward to this event with interest as we are now studying these events in youngs founding of utah we are playing our basket ball bal games on thursday evening in our auditorium with holden we are hopeful of victory we are progressing nicely on tile the operetta the magic beanstock which will be presented by the fifth and sixth graass grades of our school our eighth grade girls have begun work on their graduation dresses many are making their own dresses in this sewing classes |
