Show JULY FOURTH AT FILLMORE the committee in charge of the 1929 july fourth celebration have practically completed the arrangements for the celebration tobe held in fillmore in commemoration of the independence of the united states the day will be welcomed by the sunrise salute this part of the celebration being in charge of alma littledyke and thomas jackson A program has been arranged for the morning to be held at 10 in the second ward chapel which has been graciously proffered prof ered by its bishop bishopric rie mrs jennie ashby has C harge charge of the decoration at the chapel and lite musical numbers will be arranged by mrs dean C evans assisted by the fillmore ward orchestra mayor nelson will give a vocal solo and alonzo huntsman will give the independence pen dence day address deputy county clerk otis will represent fillmore post no 61 of the american legion on the pro gra mand a representative of the boy scout organizations of fillmore will also participate in the exercises the afternoon will be given over to sports for the youngsters in the city park and a childrens dance in the american legion home the afternoon sports program will be under the direction of mr elmer carling prizes for races and other sport events will be given the children who participate in the afternoon sports events any youngster who wishes to enter any sport event should see mr carling this week and he will arrange to have a fine cash prize offered for the mhd winner 1 an independence day dance will be held at the capital tl lion ion Fill mores big open air dance hall the committee appointed by the city council to take charge of the days events are E V wilson W D melville and mrs lizzie carling |
