Show FOR FOH RETIRING SECRETARY OF association y at the last meeting of 0 the tive committee of the utah public health association the committee appointed to draw up resolutions tn t mr air wallis for the wonderful piece of work lie has done for the public health work in utah made their report the committee consisted of dr john A widtsoe soe chairman miss kate williams and dr C N jensen the following resolutions wore were read by dr jensen and on oil motion of mrs airs levi lev edgar young seconded by edward 11 II snow thye were unanimously approved and ordered spread on the minutes and given to the press WHEREAS our efficient executive secretary james 11 II wallis has at the end of seven years of faithful service seen tit fit to resign in order that he might return to ills his newspaper activities and WHEREAS the executive com cittee has seen fit by proper resolutions lut lui ions lons to express their appreciation of the splendid work accomplished under ills his administration and to testify of ills his devotion integrity and loyalty and WHEREAS through its his constructive genius the first traveling health clinic to go through tile the state was organized with an expert personnel giving to the public tor for the first time definite and reliable statistics regarding the extent of tuberculosis in utah and WHEREAS under ills his administration clean school contests were first organized over two thousand school rooms receiving the benefits of this splendid service the first traveling dental clinic gave service to the needy public health nursing was and school nurses established in many school districts in ili the state and WHEREAS during his seven years of efficient service every city town and hamlet in utah heard the gospel of good health preached by him with films slides and charts while the newspapers newspapers magazines and journals of the state have published hundreds of articles on health conservation written by hini him THEREFORE IT RESOLVED that the utah public health association by its executive committee expresses its deep appreciation tor for chese these faithful and valuable services and in parting with his association bid him in whatever service lie he undertakes |
