Show 0 MARV AARY GRAHAM 1 cotegna nit FIREPLACE DREAMS the blue fire fairies and the red flame fairies arrived for the ball in the fireplace the blue and red colors in the fre fire soon goon see seemed med to be dancing dancin and playing and frolicking together then came the yellow fire fairies and the oreen green fire fairies and some queer ones dressed in black they were the witches they wore the black costumes to make bake them look more interesting and mysterious after the dancing was over the witches always told the fire fairies the most beautiful stories of everything thin that had happened in the fireplace place for bears and years and years sears they always told them of the games the sparks had played how they loved to tease the gro grownups by jumping out on the rug in front 0 of the fire they told them of the castles that had been made in the fireplace and of all the fire kings and queens who had lived in them cut but when they tell them about the sparks you will see that the sparl sparks still jump out and land on the rug for they want to show that her stories are still very very true later on though they will become sleepy so that they will go to sleep r right ight in the fireplace so you can watch the dancing that so ao often takes place in the fireplace replace fl you can see the beautiful costumes of the fire fairies and you can see lk V 5 the dancing that so often takes take place in the fireplace them blaze and flame while the queer sounds seem to grow fewer then you can see them eating their banquet you can tell how the fairy fire cooks bring in their little flum ing dishes and you can just imagine how they are all enjoying the goodies then you will notice how the flames begin to die down and only a few little littie flashes of light and fire are seen from time to time those flashes and flames are some of the fire fairies who arp still wide ahnke enough to ask the witches questions the witches telli tell fireplace bedtime tales and soon the fairies go sound sound asleep they love to be put to sleep by the fire witches the flames s die down entirely and only a little smoldering goes on in tb the e fireplace then the witches say goodnight they too will go to bed but the ashes will mill be left the nice warm ashes they are the pleasant dreams that are left behind for the fire fairies and now the ball was over in the fireplace the stories had been told the fire had gone out only some ashes could be seen but in one corner a few red coals had ap appeared do you know ahat hat they were they were the king and queen of tile fireplace and they caroe came to see that their people were all fast asleep then they went to sleep but first they whispered a thank you to the witches for the marvelous marv clous bedtime stories they always told and if you had been in front of this particular fire where there hud had been so much going on you would n have a faint crackling noise and you would then have known that all lind had pone gone to sleep in their warm ashes of f sant dreams dr ennis |
