Show OBITUARY james mcmahon is laid to 0 i rest arest funeral services were held in the fillmore city hall wednesday afternoon over the remains of james me mation mahon a good citizen and consistent member of and faithful worker in in the L D S church james me mc mahon jahon was born i tuly july 22 1885 1835 in vana Fan banaugh ugh augh ire land at the a age ae e of 13 he emi grated with his uncle to america and on his way to california in 1858 he stopped at stopped at salt lake city yi a short time and returned f rom from california in 1851 and made his home in salt lake city was converted to the I 1 mormon faith and was baptized in november of that year by jesse jasse johnson in 1864 he was ordained an elder ani and married to miss lucinda atchison moved to fillmore in 1865 and shortly after to deseret and from there to holden and later a again fy ain to fillmore lie ile labored for many years as ward teacher for a number of years he wa was s a member of the HI high 0 h council of millard stake and as home Missia Du during rii in the last four years he was ad counselor to bp anderson in the fillmore ward he also filled a mission to ireland from 1891 till 1893 he was the father of seven children of which two have preceded him to the spirit world those living are james harvey of ore oreon oregon on william of wyoming mrs alvaretta wa warner of dingham bingham mrs elizabeth payne and miss of fillmore fill more the funeral services were presided over by bp P F H partridge and the speakers were J S giles F A robison john cooper and bp partridge appropriate musical members were rendered by the ward choir ho he died last monday after a protracted illness U llis is wife preceded him only a few weeks |
