not because it is fillmore but be cause fillmo Eill moe e is a center of pp ap in in the county fillmore does not su P p rt rb three saloons we have written statements f from rom evory every s saloon aloon keeper in fillmore FiU more lie thi 2 1 L ct that they thessell sell more liquor to the people f from rom outside towns ohan chan to the people of fill mor morand and that without the out side trade they could rot cot ruti run the people of fillmore Fillmor esre not a liquor drinking people the young people especially are the most temperate us as a whole of any town in millard county the people of F fillmore would gladly do away with saloons saloon sif if it were in their power they might pet the city Cout council icil and the might raise the license to thith the maxium limit provided by law this would mean that the juhree hr e saloons would CL consolidate cin and pay the deenie and continue to td run or it would result in the CI closing OSing up of two and the other obber would run this would not im 1 prove rove conditions and s any As soon as s our state legislature a re gives us icat cal option we I 1 pledge in the people fill abre to vote dov dom n the sal us S in in our town down the he fact lad that fill fillmore m om is a cen r i of 0 population opu lation WOO is the greatest all re reasons gedons why the church s 41 school chuld sh uld be 6 located IV re give ony uld abid wight might have before the ih 9 gh h school building is arec erected ted F nearly every town of any importance mr in this state has it its sal not excluding those towns where other church schools are located we realize that perhaps a loons exert some liitle influence in a com community m unity but that in tl bence eff effects acts only a very small class aud and we feet feel deeply that thab th argument used against our town on account of saloons is as noth 1190 ing 0 compa compared red to the advantages we me possess over arly any other town in the count county 3 as a location for lyo proposed posed church high school to TOt Bishop frank 11 II fillmore fill fillmore tn ore rity City utah oct the saloon question in fill moi more moie e has been f full ull canvas ed and its status I 1 is s this wo we now have th three rae saloons salo olis and by lire are pt paying t y I 1 ing in i in the ahe acra aggregate 00 regato per year li license cerise the citizens are willing to petition the city council to raise the licence and require each saloon to py a n licence of and the council is willing todo so no now W if that oat should b be e done it would close down two of the three and the one paying the would continue and rea reap p the profits of the three now running these three saloons are supported by meadow fillmore holden and kanosh and some support from clear lake alake if our legislature will at the coming coining session pass a law giving precincts and cities authority to exercise local option in relation to the sale of in toxicants toxic ants just as soon as such authority is given the great ma jor bority ity of electors I 1 A of fillmore I 1 will not hesitate to vote saloons out of the corporate limits we do not have any drunkenness by our young youn
