The orchestra were made "to home" in the center, while around the outside the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades had booths. There have been a few red middies mid-dies and blue serge skirts appear not many'though. Hurry, now, boys and girls, and do not be slackers, now that you proposed them. Fred Cottrell, formerly of the B. C. II. S., we have been informed, is enjoying his studies and has taken up a very decided course at the West minster college in Salt Lake City. Monday afternoon we were entertained enter-tained by a high-class musical Miss Velma Baxter and Miss Garnita Clements. If more of the girls would exercise their lungs as girls do, we would have some good results. "How I Can Make the Highways More Safe," is the subject of the contest between the Seventh, Eighth and Ninth grades. The government is offering prezos of $500 1st; and a free trip to Washington. 2nd $300. 3rd, $200. For those under the age of 14, in Grammar school they are allowed four prizes. The pupils find that this composition is well worth the time and study that Is necessary to its arrangement. |
