Show ROAD BUILDING SEASON LOOMS Commission Sign" Statement of St. St. George-Anderson Ranch Project Salt Lake City. Initial steps toward to-ward the construction of 21.7 miles of federal aid highway between St. George and Anderson's ranch were taken when the state road commissioners commission-ers signed the project statement. The tital cost of this project is estimated at $375,000. It is not expected that the entire project will be constructed at this time, but as funds become available avail-able the first section, between St. George and Harrisburg, will be built, as a cooperative agreement to this effect ef-fect has been signed with the Washington Wash-ington county commissioners. This is estimated to cost $160,000. The project statement of the highway high-way from Echo to Kimball Junction, via Coalville, was signed also. This project is 24.6 miles in length and its estimated cost is $400,000. A cooperative cooper-ative agreement, covering an eight mile section of this project between Wanship and Page's ranch, has been signed with the county commissioners of Summit county. Under this agreement, agree-ment, Summit county will bear $24,000 of the estimated total cost of $96,000, the federal government to bear the balance. A modified agreement on the federal feder-al aid road from Richfield to Elsinore was signed by the road commission. The new contract with the bureau of public roads increases the federal appropriation ap-propriation for this project from $39,-816.93 $39,-816.93 to $44,4S4.65. |
