Show AGED ADAMSVILLE COUPLE OBSERVE GOLDEN AVEDDING The golden wedding of Mr. and Mrs.' Evan Jones was held in the Ad amsville ward chapel Thursday afternoon. af-ternoon. The family and invited guests to the number of 150 met In a social way and enjoyed a wedding feast. The house was decorated for the occasion in white and gold, interspersed in-terspersed with potted plants and flowers. After the dinner an Interesting and fitting program followed which included a song "The Golden Wedding." Wed-ding." by the ward choir. Fred Gunn of Beaver gave a sketch of their life history. They were married at Adamsville Ad-amsville January 6, 1871. After living liv-ing there a short time moved to Le-hi Le-hi where they spent several years. They then went to Frisco, Utah, and from there returned to Adamsville. There is just one year difference in their ages. Mr. Jones being 70 and his "wife 6 9 years of age. Mrs. Jones was attired in a beautiful beau-tiful gown of golden brown silk. The couple received many nice presents, among them an expensive dining table, ta-ble, presented by the Adamsville ward. Mr. and Mrs. Jones are the parents of seven children, Mrs. Nell Walker, of Brigham; Mrs. Eliza College of Lehi, John Walter Jones of Bfeaver; Kate Walker of Brigham, Lucressia Gillins of Minersville and Hazel Jones, Jon-es, all of whom, except Mrs. Kate Walker were present for the occasion. |
