Lion Cline reported on the clubs finances and stated that all work had practically been done on the "to the oil well" road that the club's finances would permit at this time, fxeept for dragging. President Presi-dent Jefferson stated that 'the road was well market, and that about three more days work would put the road in first class condition. In the absence of the chairman of the committee appointed to arrange for beautifying the school grounds, Lion Ruschmeier reported that little or nothing had been accomplished as yet. It was suggested that more publicity be given this matter, with a view of acquainting the general public with the financial needs to carry on this work. Lions present were informed that a delegation from Indiana would pass through Milford in the evening en route to San Francisco to attend the International convention, and Lion Parrish rehearsed with those present a number of songs to be sung at the station. In the evening a delegation of local members, accompanied accom-panied by a number of ladies, met Xo. 7 and greeted the Indianians in true Lion style. Much roaring, singing and handshaking took place, and the visitors expressed their pleasure at the reception accorded them. A quartet, favored the gathering gath-ering with a pleasing election. Governor Gov-ernor of Lions Call, of Indiana and forty-three delegates from different parts of the state, and a number of their ladies, were on the train.
