Show FINES HELP FILL THE CITY TILL ESCAPADE OF THREE MEN BRING THEM PENALTY OF FINES After a wild evening, which has included in-cluded the taking of a car by mistake mis-take and a verbal tilt later with the owner, three men were lodged in the town jail Friday evening on charges of intoxication. The men were Earl Tassel and Marion Tassel, of Milford, Mil-ford, and Waldo Yardley, also of this town temporarily. The owner of the appropriated car was Mel Hesling-ton, Hesling-ton, instructor in the Milford public schools. The activities of the men were first brought to attention when Hesling-ton Hesling-ton noticed his car taken from in front of the theatre. He secured the assistance of Marshall Roy Coleman, and the two were not long in finding the auto. ' It came down Main street, steered by the three men mentiond. On being flagged down, the three appeared confused at the queries they received. It later developed that one of the men owned a car similar in appearance and make to that of Heslingtons, and no other charge than that of intoxication was lodged against them. The recovered car seemed to have suffered no abuse when it was found. After spending a night as guests of the municipality, the three men appeared ap-peared Saturday before Justice of the Peace Herbert Nichols, who laconically la-conically slapped a fine of fifty dollars dol-lars on each of them. |
