Miss Florence Marie McLaughlin, who was married June 25th to Mr. Kenneth Hansen Henry, at Oakland, California. The bride is well known here having lived here several years ago1. Jack Sherwood has' sold his interest inter-est in the Beaver-Milford Truck line to J. C. Murdock, of Beaver. Mr. Mur-I Mur-I dock will continue the business as manager of the company. The News office staff was presented with a beautiful bouquet of garden flowers, by Harry Griffiths, Monday. The bouquet was composed of large zenias, poppies and' sweet peas. Mr. and Mrs. Griffiths who live on railroad rail-road row, take great delight in making mak-ing their home and yard very attractive attrac-tive and it shows what can be done in Milford. Miss Josephine Bakes of Salt Lake City, who has been spending a couple of weeks with her mother, Mr. Caroline Caro-line Bakes, at Beaver, came -over on Saturaday night to attend the Elks' dance. She was the guest of Mrs. Oscar Os-car Larson until Sunday evening, when she returned to her home in Salt Lake. ' After the regular meeting of the S. A. B., they gave a card' party. The wives and husbands of members were invited. Fifty-eight, members and friends were served at eleven-thirty and Mrs. Mattie Armstrong and Mr. Russell Hunter received high scores. Mrs. Phil Orwin won consolation. The hall was decorated in S. B. A. colors, white red, yellow and purple and cut flowers. Next meeting night Is July 27th. Don't fail to be here. Aquilla Nebeker returned to Salt Lake. Tuesday, after having1 spent a month here assisting in Improving his son's land, southwest of town. Mr. Nebeker has unlimited faith in the future of the farming lands around here. Charles Dorflinger. of Los Angeles, stopped off from No. 20 Monday and made the News a short call. Charley was for years a writer on the News !taff and he was a good one. It does a person good to see one with so much enthusiasm and so much unfounded un-founded faith in Milford as he has. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Arrington and family, left Tuesday to spend the remainder re-mainder of the summer at the Murdock Mur-dock Academy . Mr. and Mrs. Arrington Ar-rington have both been quite ill and thought an outing of this kind would be a great benefit to them and their family. Tolton, of Eureka, Eu-reka, attended the Elks' celebration held here Friday and Saturday of last week. Mr. Tolton is cashier of the Eureka Eu-reka bank. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tullis, who has been at Salt Lake for some little time, taking medical treatment, returned re-turned home Sunday, much improved in health, Mrs. J. Love' and mother returned on Thursday of last week from a month's visit in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. J. Robinson and two children and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gloason have returned from a few days outing in the Beaver mountains Misses Thelma Tanner and Idona WTiite and Messrs Harry Coon and Marion Tanner, spnt Sunday at Roose velt Springs. Mrs. Isabel Denny of Riverside, California, passed through Milford Tuesday morning, from Salt Lake, en-route to her aid home at Beaver, where she will spend the summer with her sister, Mrs. Belle Burke. Mrs. Wm. Hurst of Beaver, spent Monday here with her brother, Mr. Wm. Mjller and. family and attended the Chautauqua that evening. Miss Thelma Tanner and Mr. Merle Mer-le Miller left Sunday for Baker Nevada, Ne-vada, where they will' join Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Clay on a fishing trip. They will also visit the famous Lehman's Le-hman's cave. Kiljam) returned Sunday, from a two weeks' trip to Seattle. He had the pleasure of seeing the Pacific Pa-cific fleet, which was harbored at Seattle from July 1st to 10th. He ' said they turned the town over to the 15,000 of them. He visited several of the battleships which were certainly cer-tainly great. Prof. Albert Terry will leave the last of the week for his old home at Alton, 111. He will be accompanied by his brother. Carl Terry who has been spending several weeks here. They will make the trip by auto and will visit Yellowstone Park, Colorado Colora-do Springs and other points of interest in-terest along the route. Prof. Terry will return to Milford sometime in September to take up his school work. Mr. Carl Terry was an officer in the recruiting office at Salt -Lake City during the late war and spent some little time here in Milford in the same work.
