HERALDED IN CITIES I'tah'H resource.! ami possibilities! will be heralded to the world as never nev-er before in the history of the state:, through a campaign which will be launched under the auspices of the Advertising and Publicity committee of the Cc.tumereial club on May 1, On this date, copy will have been prepared pre-pared for more than 200 advertisements advertise-ments which will be placed in twenty of the leading f'.aily papers of the principal cities of the United States. Every section of the country, with the exception of the New Englancl states, will be Included In the campaign cam-paign to put Utah on the map and bring to the attention of the people c f practically every state the vast resources and possibilities which await development in the Beehive commonwealth. The advertisements will be of full pae size and will run for a period of ten clays in each of the 20 papers. The first advertisement, proofs of v.hleh have been received carries a picture of the Great White Throne, a scene from Zion National park, one of Utah's wonder spots. In addition to 'he newspaper displays there has re-er.tly re-er.tly been published and distributed distribut-ed throughout the United States, more than 120.000 pieces of literature litera-ture telling of the scenic industrial and agricultural resources of the s'nte. The scenic folder covers erery -ection of the state and Yellowstone National park, which since its opening open-ing has been considered a part of Utah. In addition to the large sums of money to be expended by the Com mercial club for advertising purposes, purpos-es, it was recently announced that the Union Pacific system was preparing prepar-ing to spend between $50,000 and SG0.000 advertising the state and its possibilities. Other publicity which is received b ythe state from outside magazines and papers totals on an average of approximately 200 inches per month In addition, between 30 and 40 inquiries in-quiries are replied to each day by the Commercial club. |
