Show Dog Trials Come High . Pocatello, Idaho. A "Dog Case" cost Jerome taxpayers more than $500 last week. The case was called in district court and two days were given giv-en over to demurrers, objections sustained sus-tained and overruled by attorneys and examinations, and cross-examination of sixteen witnesses for the defense and thirteen for the plaintiff. Charles W. Barlow charged A. B. Lanias of Hazelton with maliciously killing a dog owned by Barlow. The defendant defend-ant was convicted in the justice's court, but the jury found in the late trial that the defendant was justified justi-fied in killing the dog. |
