Show Borah Still Strong For Appropriation Washington, Senator Borah, who returned from New York to learn of attacks made on the proposed appropriation ap-propriation to develop power at tha Black canyon dam, on the Boise project, pro-ject, in order to save the Gem irrigation irri-gation district, was inclined to believe be-lieve the opponents of this appropriation appropri-ation are overestimating their ability. "There are two sides to the proposition prop-osition of throwing out the $450,000 appropriation," said Senator Borah. "The Gem appropriation stands on a different footing from the proposed new projects in Oregon and in Utah. It is for the purpose of preserving a community with its homes, its churches church-es and its schools. I think this appropriation ap-propriation will go through." |
