Show IN BEHALF OF WAR-DISABLED Mrs. Wendell Phillips Sails for Belgium Bel-gium to Represent Legion at Inter-Allied Meet Mrs. Wendell Phillips has sailed for Belgium to represent the American Legion at the fourth Inter-allied conference con-ference to study questions concerning the war-disabled. The Legion has led the fight to obtain more favorable treatment for the men who gave their health and strength in battle and has been responsible for the enactment and the proper admin'stration of many . n S t " vv-st I v '4 N I ) s r i I A, 4 x ' ! - - ' t " j Is - i j i N t 1 4j. !. I Mrs. Wendell Phillips. of the present laws looking toward the rehabilitation of wounded men. Following the sessions of the conference confer-ence Nrs. Phillips will tour England. France and Italy studying the methods of the various governments. Mrs. Phillips served with the ambulance am-bulance corps in the war and was wounded in action near Verdun. She spent five and one-half mouths in hospitals. hos-pitals. She was decorated for gallantry gal-lantry by the French government and has been recommended to receive the Congressional Mednl of Honor, the highest reward for valor in the gift of j the United States government.
