To the Voters of the 11th Senatorial District As the Republican candidate for State Senator from this district, I have been pressed for a statement to the voters. To those who know me this is unnecessary. They know that I am familiar with all parts of the district from personal contact. In my younger manhood, it became my duty, as one engaged in stockraising, to ride over every section of the district, from the Beaver Bottoms in Beaver County to Fre-donia, Fre-donia, in Arizona. They know that I am familiar with our undeveloped possibilities in agriculture, horticulture, stockraising, lumbering and mining. They know that I am familiar with the facts that some of the greatest deposits of coal, iron and sulphur lie undeveloped within the boundaries of this district, to say nothing of the preciou metals. met-als. They know that if I am elected, I will serve faithfully the interests of this district in particular and the State in general. They know that I believe the greatest progress is accomplished through education. They know that I will work for improved educational educa-tional advantages for the entire district. They know that I will work for an enlarged field of activity for the Branch Normal at Cedar City, with a view of making it a real ' factor for the. development of our agricultural possibilities and kindred industries. They know that I am for temperance. They know that I amtfor an improvement in the condition of the laboring class and an enlarged pay check wherever the fruits of one's labor is being withheld by selfish employers. They know that I am giving my utmost, physically and financially, for the prosecution of this war that the enemies of Free Government be cortiDelled to surrender unconditionally. They know that my every act is dedicated to sacrifice and service in the great struggle to make this world a better place for our children to live in. They know that I am for a cultured citizenship breathing the true spirit of loyalty and patriotism. Next Tuesday, you will exercise the greatest privilege of American citizens. Remember Re-member when you go to the polls, that you are performing a very solemn duty. I trust that you will not allow your reason and judgment to abdicate in favor of the reason and judgment of any other person. After due consideration, if you believe that I will serve our mutual interests faithfully faith-fully and intelligently, and that my acts of loyalty square with my words, I shall be pleased to reeeive your votes. With an abiding faith in our free institution and an unselfish devotion to the principles prin-ciples of human liberty, I rest my case with you. 0. F.
