Show MRS. PAUL IRENE ROBERTS r Mrs. Paul Irene Roberts died of Spanish Influenza Monday morning. Feb. 16, 1920 at Milford, Utah. She was born in Beaver City, Beaver Bea-ver county, Utah, December 20, 1901 and has spent the greater part of her life in Beaver. She married Victor Roberts and lived a short time In Beaver, moving from Beaver, they went to Parowan, where they lived a few months. From Parowan they moved to Delta. From Delta they moved to Milford. Irene has suffered all her life with a- leaking heart. Though she suffer-:d suffer-:d a great deal, not a word of complaint com-plaint would she utter. If you were to ask her how she was, even though sick in bed, she would reply, "Just fine" She did not wish anyone to ';now that she suffered. Irene was a very dutiful daughter to her parents, always trying to help her mother; a most loving wife to her husband, who is just recovered from the flu. Irene and her husband took the flu at the same time. Mrs. Lottie Hodges, her mother, took care of them until Mr. Roberts came from Delta. Irene was sick about three days. She will be remembered by those who knew her, as she was popular in society, and especially in the ball room. The funeral services were held in the open air on the street of the Beaver Bea-ver opera house, at 2 p. m. Wednesday Wednes-day February 18. Bishop Geo. Paice conducted the services. O. F. Mc-Shane Mc-Shane gave a very comforting speech outlining her beautiful traits. J. F. Tolton also spoke of her as he had watched her grow from infancy to womanhood. He said he knew Irene well and that she was always courteous cour-teous to her friends. He also stated that he had lived neighbors to her grandparents during his ' boyhood days. Milo Baker, and others rendered several beautiful selections. The service were very Impressive. The body was accompanied from Milford to Beaver by the Undertaker Undertak-er and relatives. Mrs. Roberts is survived by the following: Victor Roberts her husband; hus-band; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hodges, her parents; and by seven sisters, Mrs. Leona Williams, Salt Lake; Mrs Mary Twitchell, Brigham City; Erma Nettie, Ruby and Josephine. Two brothers, Lemar Hodges, Roy Hodges. Irene is also survived by uncles, aunts and cousins, and by her aged grandfather and grandmother. The family have the sympathy of the entire county. The family wishes to thank those in Milford and in Beaver who assisted as-sisted them during their hours of trial. |
