Show New Role MOVIE ACTRESS FILES CLAIM Holmes Sisters Will Start Big Cattle Ranch in the Vicinity of Lund The office of U. S. Commissioner Herbert Nichols has been unusually busy .this week. Numerous entrymen are filing applications under the new grazing act. One of the notable applicants Wednesday was Florence Holmes, a movie actress and a sister of the f am- ; ous Helen of stellar magnitude in the constellation of moving picture makers. The Holmes sisters and other members of their company will establish a large cattle ranch near Lund. Their claims are southwest of that coming commercial center on the Salt Lake Route about thirty-five miles southwest of Milford. Dr. Hoxie of Lund accompanied the actress act-ress to this city and assisted as a witness in making the filing. While in Milford Miss Holmes received a telegram from her sister Helen in Los Angeles asking her to hurry to that city to take part in a picture, being 'oduced and in which Helen Holmes could not appear on account of sickness. Among others who came to Milford this week to complete their filings were E. M. Colvin, Roy Goff and J. C. Harter, all neighbors who have resided on their claims near Nada for a year or more and who are taking tak-ing up the additional land to which they are entitled under the new law. |
