Show Democrats Deplore Cox's Stand. The opinion in Washington as to Mr. Cox's 12.nO0-word address of acceptance ac-ceptance is that the Ohio governor could have said it in three "Wilson that's all." His abject surrender to the president's ideas has taken the heart out of his admirers, and with most of them it's all over but the mourning. They reason that it was a desperate choice for Mr. Cox. Neither he nor they could see any issue is-sue he could advance with a reasonable reason-able chance of winning so he bent the hinges of the knee to make sure of the Wilson following. |
