Mr. Larson and his class in manual training had an important part in the construction of it. It was good practical work for the class. To the ball team management is due the credit for the co-operation which made the structure possible and it was put up in three days. It will later probably be boarded up at the rear. Hammons of Salt Lake City has been in Milford this week. Mr. Hammons is from the general land office and is investigating land and mining matters in this vicinity. Mr. Horner from the Bureau of Mines of Salt Lake has been here also and together to-gether the gentlemen have visited most of the mining properties near Milford. One matter to pass upon was the application of the Success Mining Co. for a patent. The Success is owned by the Clines of the Golden Rule Store. Mr. Horner is working upon a process to separate the zinc from the lead in the ores of local mines which, if successful, would make a great additional profit for the producers. |
