Show According to advices Just received from officials of the Salt Lake Route, that company has begun the expenditure of one and a third millions of dollars in improvements. These improvements, included iu the 1916 budget prepared by General Manager H. C. Nutu, and approved by Ex-Senator Clark and Judge. R. S. Lovett, provide for the spending of $347,000 for new rails of 90 pound sections, $260,000 lu bribes and $511,000 iu other improvements along the entire system. As already announced in these columns, Milford is to share generously in these contemplated impr ivemeuts. Ic even comes by wireless, though not throug'i railway headq tarters, that Milford is to have a new depot. The Sale Lake route, like other roads is not spending money unless such expenditure is justified. The inference is obvious, he who runs may read, Milford is increasing in importance as a railway and commercial center. |
