Show HORN SILVER CONTROL CHANGES HANDS R. H. Cameron, Melville Gillett and G. Henry Stetson have purchased purchas-ed the Horn Silver mine from William Wil-liam A. Smith, who held the property under lease and bond from the old English organization called the Horn Silver Mining Company which held it during the last twelve years, says the Pioche Record. Roadside Smith retains a substantial sub-stantial interest in the mine and thus becomes more extensively interested in the mining industry in this section. sec-tion. This sale means that the Horn Silver mine will be opened up energetically, ener-getically, and the ore will be converted convert-ed into the useful metals. rne new owners are practical men of experience in the mining industry in this section, who have lost no opportunity op-portunity to dig where the showing warranted business. Mining opportunities oppor-tunities of merit have been taken up by these operators and tested. Roadside Smith has dusted the sage along many roads with his various var-ious camps on wheels, and now, not content with the one Ford, he must have two with which to seek other properties which can be bought with profit. The 'Horn Silver is believed to have merit. Many samples taken from the property have shown high and even sensational values. . A carload car-load of ore contained silver values in excess of $60 per ton with silver at its present level. It is known that the property is an undeveloped prospect pros-pect and it is hoped that the new owners will soon prove its value. Plans for the future . operation of the property have, of course, not yet been formulated, os it was purchased Tuesday. It is probable that the organization or-ganization needed to work it will be perfected in due time and the property prop-erty developed along sound mining plans. |
