Show MINF.RSVILLE CKJl I'LK HAS"' THREE SONS IN SERVICE ' Three "service sons" of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Roberts of Minersvillo were recently at home together foi the first time In four years. Two of the boys spent the Christmas Christ-mas holidays with, their parents, the other having already returned to duty with the Pacific fleet. Robert Blaine Roberts, G M 2i enlisted In the navy in March, )U42, and aft'T serving on the U. S. S. Boise in both Atlantic und Pacific engagements, was recently disci, ,in;r"l with 12 baltle stars pinned to his service tibbons. Spencer E. Roberts enlisted in the navy at the same time as his brothrr, but was discharged for minor physical ailm'Tit.s. Later enlisting en-listing in the army, he served lor 20 months as an air corps welder technician in Italy Hnd Sicily. He was discharged on points, and is living in MinTsville with his wife, the1 former Mary Gentry, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Mdton Gentry ol r.-ciri-:.i. i J-"'lt D. Roberts. S C 2c, enlisted enlist-ed in the navy in March, ItM.'i, and months la'er returned on leave with three battle stars. At the cio.e of the war he had Been action in f i;:ht major engagements. Recently Re-cently home on leave, he has returned re-turned to duly with the "Vietory fleet." |
