Show High School Notes 'Friday of last week, November 10, was a very important day at M. H. S. At 10:30 o'clock the band, drum and bugle ;corps, and class organizations paraded for 30 minutes in honor of the peace declaration of 1918 and at 11:0.0 the Legion Auxiliary helfl their annual assembly and speech contest con-test at the high school. Numbers on the program were: Presentation of colors by the Boy Scouts. iPrayer, Mrs. Vena Wilson. Rendition of "America" by the assembled crowd under the direction direc-tion of Alvin H. Baker. One minute of silence. "New Colonial March" by M. H. I S. band. Introduction of ' contestants by Mrs. Leonard Bowen. "America the Beautiful" by ladies chorus., Song, "The Regiment Is Marching March-ing By", boys glee. Presentation of awards by Mrs. V. Waddoups, Auxiliary president, to Alice Griffiths, first; Helen Jean Sichow, second; and Carolyn Clay, third, in the girls' contest; and to Thorpe Waddingham, first; Jack Clements, second; and Bill Kirk, third, in the boys' contest. "Star Spangled Banner", sung by congregation, accompanied by i the band. Retirement of colors.
