Show Mrs. E. A. Smith of Salt Lake was a visitor in Milford this week, helping to serve the election day dinner given by the M. E. church women. Adult recreational activities for all over. 18 years of age will begin next Monday evening at 7 o'clock at the high school, according to Owen W. Stoker, local director. The only requirement will be the wearing of gym shoes and everybody every-body is invited. Major operations performed at the Milford hospital last week included in-cluded those for Mrs. S. Nowers and Mrs. T. Williams of Beaverand Jackie Clements of Caliente, while Floyd Robinson, C C C enrollee attached at-tached to the local camp, was given giv-en medical attention. The local American Legion boys are preparing for another big Ar-I Ar-I mistice day dance to be given the night of Wednesday, November 11, at the Arion hall. Handbills advertising adver-tising the affair are being printed and chances on a fine 20-pound turkey will be given with each ticket sold at the dance. The adult education sewing classes are now being held in the following places: the sewing room in the library building on Monday, Mrs. Leonard Ahlstrom's home on Wednesday, Mrs. Walker's home on Thursday and Mrs. Charles English's home on Friday. These classes begin at 2 o'clock in the afternoons. An Armistic day program will be given at the Milford high school on Wednesday, November 11, at 10:45 a.m. An interesting program has been arranged by the American Ameri-can Legion Auxiliary with the cooperation co-operation of the high school. Arrangements Ar-rangements have been made for Congressman Murdock to speak. The public is invited to attend. One of the big events of the social so-cial season at the Milford high high school will be the "Hoodoo" dance to be given Friday evening, November 13, by the Junior class. An ad appears in this issue of The News, and tickets are also being printed by The News with a view to an intensive selling campaign with a genuine good time promised for all who attend. |
