Show UTAH DISEASES LEAP UPWARD For the week ending November 23, local health officers reported a tctal of 428 cases of communicable cVscasc to the Utah State Department Depart-ment of Health 26 of these were l.sted as pon-residents. For the pre--Ous week, 193 cases were reported j 15 of whom were non-residents. The marked increase in the total number of cases reported for the week was due largely to 75 cases of influenza reported from Beaver county and 150 cases of this disease reported from Davis county. Unofficial reports from other counties of the state indicate a fairly wide .distribution of a light form of influenza. According to attending physicians, the patients are not seriously ill with the disease and none of them thus far is reported report-ed to have developed pneumonia. Cache county reported the only case of infantile paralysis for the week. The health officers of Daggett, Morgan, Piute and San Juan counties coun-ties and Cedar City failed to send in reports. |
