Show v Sunday Concert Is Much Enjoyed The News owes its sincere apologies to Principal Kenneth S. Farrer and the Milford high school music department for overlooking in last issue the very fine concert given Sunday afternoon, February 25. Featuring as vocal soloist Professor Jessie Perry of the Uni-verity Uni-verity of Utah music department, and with five numbers by the high school chorus, under Mr. Farrer's direction, the concert was one of the finest musical offerings ever afforded Milford people. Mrs. E. L. Smith and Mrs. Farrer were accompanists for the various numbers. num-bers. With past musical treats presented pre-sented by Mr. Farrer as a criterion, cri-terion, a large crowd was present for this Sunday concert despite the unusual hour and the snow storm of near blizzard proportions, every person attending was well rewarded reward-ed for being present. In addition to the high musical quality of the event, the appearance of the girls in formal dresses and the boys in dark suits, together with the staging stag-ing arrangements, made for a colorful presentation as well. This Sunday there is being offered of-fered a treat of somewhat similar nature, with Mrs. Vena H. Wilson reviewing the book, "The Naza-rene," Naza-rene," and the music department again favoring with several selections. se-lections. v |
