Tubbs, 32, a native of Auburn, Michigan, died at the local lo-cal hospital early Saturday morning morn-ing from hemorrhage and shock resulting re-sulting from the mangling of both legs Friday when he was run over by a freight train near Borden, north of Milford. Both legs were amputated at the knee in an effort to save his life but he had lost a great deal of blood while being brought to the hospital and he failed to survive. The unfortunate young man had left his home in Chester, Idaho, in search of work and had been riding the freight when he met with the accident. He is survived by a wife and three children in Chester and they were communicated with but the remains were sent to the Michigan city for interment, a sister having forwarded funds for that purpose. The body was prepared pre-pared for shipping by Pratt Root of the Southern Utah mortuary. |
