Show Ill Funeral Held For School Supervisor Miss Lydia Robinson, 54, primary pri-mary supervisor of Beaver county schools, died at the family homp in Beaver, Saturday after a week's illness following a paralytic stroke. She had apparently been in the best of health until last I week when she was stricken suddenly sud-denly at school. She was bom June 28, 1845, a daughter of William and Orissa Harris Robinson. When she was a child the family moved to Beaver. Bea-ver. She received her education in Beaver schools, Murdock academy acad-emy and University of Utah with advanced study in Chicago. She had taught in various schools of Utah and in the organizations organi-zations of the L. D. S. church. She began her teaching career at Circleville, where she taught one year, after whioh she taught in Washington in Utah's Dixie, several sev-eral years at Beaver and in South j Jordan before going to Brigham j City as primary supervisor of j Box Elder county schools for more j than ten years. She had served , as supervisor in Beaver for about j four years. She had been active! in the L. D. S. church organiza- j tions of the Beaver West ward and ' at the time of her death was a member of the board of the L. D. S. Primary association. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Lillian Thompson, and an aged aunt and uncle, Mrs. Frances L. Jones and C. Frank Harris, all of Beaver. I Funeral services were conducted Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Beaver L. D. S. West ward chapel by'1 Bishop C. Edwin Paice. Burial took place in Beaver Mountain View cemetery. A large number of Milforl people, including teachers teach-ers and others, attended the ser-; vices. J Speakers at the services included includ-ed Burton K. Farnsworth of the state department of education ofj Salt Lake City; Monto Cameron,: Brigham City school official, who worked ten years with Miss Robinson Robin-son in the Box Elder school (lis-; trict where she was primary supervisor; M. S. Wlittwer, Beaver Bea-ver county school superintendent; Allen C. Reynolds, principal of Beaver L. D. S. seminary; Wesley W. Farrer, of the stake presidency. |
