Clay of Bunbank I was in town Tuesday on business. He reports Mrs. Clay's health as being good though her sister, Mrs. Schumacher, who makes her home ; with them, is not at all well. I i Mrs. Spencer Schow, always cheerful manager of the station j newstand, returned to her duties ; Wednesday following a week-end i visit to Salt Lake. Mrs. W. P. Frazier took care of the stand y i Mrs. Schow's absence. I j Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jefferson of Nevada City, California, arrived in Milford Tuesday night and will be guests over Thanksgiving at the home of Mr. Jefferson's brother, bro-ther, George Jefferson, and family. fam-ily. The visitors are former residents resi-dents of Milford and have a host of local friends. Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Wynaught attended the monthly meeting of the Associated Civic Clubs of Southern Sou-thern Utah Saturday and Sunday at Marysvale and report having had a throughly enjoyable time. The annual election of officers took place at this meeting and Mr. Wynaught, representing the Milford Mil-ford Lions club in the association, was elected first vice-president. Mrs. M. H. Pool was hostess Saturday afternoon to her bridge club w-ith Mrs. Douglas Ryan re1 ceiving first high score prize and Mrs. La Mar Outzen second high score prize. Others present were Mrs. J. R. Murdork jr., Mrs. Rudolph Ru-dolph Nielsen. Mrs. George Fern-ley, Fern-ley, Mrs. William Cochrane and Mrs. J. M. Williams. j Mrs. P. C. Carlisle and son Phil- i lip left Wednesday afternoon to spend Thanksgiving in Salt Lake, ' where Mr. Carlisle expects to join i them for the week-end. Mrs. D. S. Williams was hostess to her' bridge club Tuesday night with Mrs. Jack Weston winning high points priie, Mrs. J. R. Mux-dock Mux-dock high honors and Mrs. Myron My-ron Lewis consolation prize. Others present were Mesdames George Moore, E. L. Smith, J. M. Williams and Wilson Moore. A number of women enjoyed last Friday evening at the home of Mrs. George Jefferson, when she entertained for Mrs. W. L. Conger who is visiting here from Lzs Vegas. Those present were Mes-dames Mes-dames Sam Cline, Clarence Grim-shaw, Grim-shaw, J. R. Murdock jr., Harold Cline, Sam Hickuan and Val Yep-sen. Yep-sen. There has been approximately approximate-ly 100 students served each day with these hot lunches. The Pierian club met at the home of Mrs. Vena H. Wilson Tuesday evening with Mrs. J. R. Murdcck sr., Mrs. J. L. Low, Mrs. J. D. Johnston. Mrs. Frank Doble and Mrs. 0. C. Koch in attendance. Mrs. Doble, who was a missionary and teacher in the Phillipine Islands Is-lands for several years, dressed in a full costume of the natives and gave a very enjoyable talk about the social life, habits and other interesting things about the islands. is-lands.
