Show "Super-Woman" Called for as Chief Executive With an astrologer's assurance that a woman will be elected Vice President of the United States In 1940, the "League for a Woman President Pres-ident and Vice-President" has gone so far as to name the characteristics characteris-tics of the first woman President. The astrologer has not given the date of feminine ascension to the higher office, but the plans call for it In this generation. "A woman who does things in a big way, a super-woman," is the way this future President is Identified by the founder of the league. The definition, defi-nition, at least. Is intriguing. In the event that such a woman doesn't happen to be available it might be well to elect a man with the same virtues. The difficulty is in finding a living person whose super qualities quali-ties are recognized outside the most earnest inner circle of his (or her) political party. Ordinarily, people do not become super-beings until they have been dead at least fifty years. The question of the effect on a woman President's husband has been raised in the league with the conclusion he "would boast for the rest of his life." Certainly the husband hus-band could set a standard of conduct for the "first gentleman of the land." St. Louis Post-Dispatch. |
