Show Milford GCC Notes (By Alen L. Ash) Approximately 120 men of Company Com-pany 469 are employed on four projects in Beaver county at the present time. Foreman George A. Payne is directing di-recting a crew of 30 men in the construction of the Pilot Hill reservoir. They are now preparing prepar-ing two diversion channels, each one mile in length, to divert water from other channels into draws which will be dammed. A crew of 35 men under the supervision of H. Harold Hirsh is working on the Black Butte reservoir. reser-voir. This reservoir is of the impounding im-pounding dam type and will mke available a large section of land which heretofore has not been utilized, due to lack of water. John C. Benson, with a crew of 35 men, are on the Beaver Pass road. This road extends from Milford Mil-ford to Beaver and will be open to the public as soon as the prevailing prevail-ing snows will parmit its use. At the Beaver Spike camp, Harry Holmes with his crew of 18 men are busy constructing the Butte Valley reservoir, another of the impounding dam type, located on the South Sheep trail. The purpose of this reservoir is to furnish fur-nish water for trailing sheep herds, and provide a choice of range for i the Beaver cattle allotment. Mr. Holmes also has charge of the construction of the Beaver stock corral, which will providt branding, dehorning and eating facilities for both sheep and cattle cat-tle in the Beaver area. US |
