Show Hinckley Routs Milford, Beaver Milfoil high schooj basketball team last Friday nig4it gave the strong Hinckley team a good opportunity op-portunity to try out their newly-overhauled newly-overhauled steam roller on the kcal floor, submitting to a 56-14 drubbing at the hands, of the Mil- , lar champions, who thus became tied with Beaver for the district's berth at the state tourney. Fillmore was the logical place for the playoff game between Beaver Bea-ver and Hinckley to be played but it is understood that Beaver refused re-fused to strut their' stuff on any Millard county floor; so it was finally fi-nally decided to hot-foot it over the mountain to Salina. Played there Wednesday night, the Hinckley boys' found their high-pressure machine in good shape after the workout at Milford Mil-ford and proceeded to try it out on Beaver, taming the latter aggregation ag-gregation by the better than 2-to-l score of 39-19! In connection with this game, the following is clipped from the Delta paper: "For Sale Complete tickets for a basketball team to go to Salt Lake City. Bought when we thought we had the thing cinched but useless now. Beaver." |
