Show Milford Team Is Victor In League Game At Beaver Some Milford people may have been a little inclined to consider Milford's 9-6 baseball victory over Beaver on Memorial day as something some-thing of an accident but all such have had a different opinion since Postmaster Root's charges turned in the 11-8 league victory Sunday. Both games were played at Beaver but the Memorial day .game was not a league contest. One of the most encouraging features of Sunday's game was the performance of . Claude Horton. Milford pitcher, who secured two 2-base hits and three singles oft Larson, Beavei''s veteran pitcher, who, despite this and home runs scored by Roy Coleman and Steed, pitched a good game for the home club. Incidentally, thjs. was th,e second home run for Coleman in the two games at Beaver. Another encouraging feature of Sunday's game was the way the Milford players snapped into it and redeemed themselves after one of their wellknown bad-inning relapses in the third canto. At the end o-f this inning, during which the score book was liberally besmirched be-smirched with Milford bobbles, the score stood 8-2 in Beaver's favor. But that was the end of the scoring scor-ing for Beaver! Milford players tightened up immediately and then brought to bear their heavy artillery, artil-lery, with Horton scoring a perfect per-fect 1.000 for the game, Tanner .600, and Steed .400. .Sunday the Kanosh team of the Millard-Beaver league comes here for a game at . the new Milford fair gounds ball park and the game should be a good one. Though Kanosh is the smallest community in the newly formed league, it is a place where they take their baseball base-ball and horse racing with plenty plen-ty of seriousness. Beaver .goes to Fillmore Sunday and the Antelope Springs CCC camp team plays Delta at that place?
