A. in the I. 0. 0. F. hall Dancing was the feature of the evening and at a late hour, the party was taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Murdoek where a basket puncheon was served. Mrs. Gene Kirk and Mrs. Abe Fotheringham were in charge of the affair. iMlembers of the Victory Re-bekah Re-bekah lodge had held an installation installa-tion of officers with the following being elected: Mrs. Hallie Sherwood, Sher-wood, noble grand; Mrs. Sadie Litchfield, vice noble grand; Mrs. Margaret Murdoek, recording w . secretary; Mrs. Isabell Newhart, financial secretary, and Miss Myrtle Horton, treasurer. A cloud burst from the Lincoln pass and directly south of Miners-ville Miners-ville had played havoc with the roads and had kept a regular army of men busy on the entire system of the canal, which had broken in several places.
