Show Ibxwrilhr Mrs. E. L. Smith spent the week-end at Cedar City with her husband. Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Pool made a business and pleasure trip to Salt Lake City this week. Judge and Mrs. E. W. Clay of Burbank were visiting with relatives rela-tives and friends in Milford Tuesday. Tues-day. Mrs. Bridges, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Weidner, is reported very low following birth of a stillborn still-born babe a few days ago. Bernell McAffee, accompanied by Jim Patterson, Lela Bradshaw and Emma Patterson, left Monday by auto to visit relatives and friends in Heber and Salt Lake. The Milford Confectionery was the scene of this weeks regular Lions club luncheon, with the meal being prepared and served by members of the Milford L. D. S. Relief society. All is in readiness at the Milford high school gym for the grand Senior hop to be staged there this Friday night by the members of the Senior class. Proceeds of the dance will go toward defraying the expenses of the trip to be taken by the class soon after the close of school. "Dance In a Land of Cherry Blossoms" is the suggestion contained con-tained in handbills printed this week by The News for the Junior class of the Minersville high school. The occasion is the annual an-nual Junior Prom to be given Friday, Fri-day, Apriil 19, and the B. A. C. orchestra from Cedar City is to furnish the music. Tickets are being printed by The News for a Townsend Old Age Pension dance to be given Saturday Satur-day night, April 27, at the Arion hall. Proceeds will be used to further the old age pension movement, move-ment, similar dances having been given for this purpose all over the west. A. C. Jensen is taking the lead in arranging for the dance. Mrs. J. R. Murdock was hostess to her bridge club Wednesday afternoon with the following present: pre-sent: Mesdames John Williams, Douglas Ryan, Sam Cline, Myron Lewis, William Cochrane, George Fernley, Rudolph Nielsen and W. C. Cates. High points prize was won by Mrs. Williams, high honors prize by Mrs. Ryan, consolation prize by Mrs. Lewis and guest prize by Mrs. Cline. Mrs.lJD. L. Smith entertained her bridge club at her home Monday Mon-day night with Mrs. Myron Lewis receiving the prize for high honon and Mrs. George Moore the prize for high points, while Mrs. Gene Kirk received consolation prize. Those present were Mesdames J. R. Murdock, Myron Lewis, Gene Kiry, George Moore, Lamar Out-zen, Out-zen, J. C. Smith, George Rogers annd J. M. Williams. Among those who attended high school day at Cedar City Saturday and assisted in the transportation transporta-tion of students were Messrs. and Mesdames J. C. Jeffers, J. D Ryan, Carl Elmer, J. R. Murdock jr., W. A. Moore, L. G. Clay, J. C. Smith, D. S. Williams, P. E. Beecher, J. M. Hughes, D. E. Stapley, Mel Heslington,. La Vel Parsons, E. H. Bird, A. E. Clark; also Alvin H. Baker, Mrs. J. F. Tribole, Mrs. E. L. Smith, Mrs. D. A. Baxter, Mrs. I. L. Kelly, Mrs. George Eaxter, Mrs. B. E. Hutchins, Mrs. G. C.
