Show WELLS FUNERAL HELDAT CEDAR Funeral services were held at Cedar City Tuesday for Vance K. Wells, about 55 years of age, Who died suddenly . of a heart attack Saturday evening as he and his wife prepared to return to their home in Cedar City after spending the evening eve-ning in Milford, where he resided until a couple of years ago. The services were held in the Cedar First ward chapel and were under the direction di-rection of Bishop Woods. Among the speakers were Lee Gray of Cedar City and S. O. Russey of Milford, representing rep-resenting the Brotherhood of Locomotive Loco-motive Firemen and Enginemen, with which the deceased was affiliated. affiliat-ed. Also in attendance at the funeral fune-ral were Mr. and Mrs. W. G. White,' Mr. and Mrs. J.: E. Hanlon, E. H. Gleason, Fay Bradfield, D. A. Smith, W. B. Herron and F. W. Campbell, also of Milford. Mr. Wells was bom in New Orleans, Or-leans, was a veteran of the Spanish-American Spanish-American war and had been with the Union Pacific system for some 22 years. He had been located in Milford Mil-ford for some time prior to going to Caliente, from which place he was. transferred to the Cedar branch line . run. Though apparently in good health, Mr. Wells had suffered a previous pre-vious heart attack some two weeks ago, according to report. He is survived sur-vived by a divorced wife and a bride of only a few months, the . former Ann Corry of Cedar City. ' . n |
