Show GIVE THE KIDS A BREAK Schools have been out for varying periods of time and millions mil-lions of children all over the country are spending their days out of doors during the summer months. It's time for 'motorists 'motor-ists to be more alert than ever less they are, many of these children will be injured or even killed as they traverse the streets and highways to fields and playgrounds. The schools have done a fine job training youngsters to watch out for themselves. In consequence, when the statistics of adult and child pedestrian accidents are compared, the children are shown to be better. They are more safely conscious. In spite of this good work 3,400 boys and girls between the ages of five and fourteen were killed last year and 152,550 were injured, according to the National Bureau, of Casualty and Suretv t'nderw riters. Olivers, give these youngsters the right of way; drive slowly slow-ly and cautiously through the residential districts; and watch out for the child who darts out from behind a parked car. Every daylight day-light hour should be a safety hour now that school is closed. Help to reduce child fatalities, and give the kids a break!
