(ilnzor, of the crop production produc-tion loan office at Salt Lake emphasizes empha-sizes that farmers who still wish to apply for loans may get application blanks from him, as well as help on making the application. Applications in Heaver county may also bo made through Geo. C. Midler, Tolton Building, Build-ing, Heaver. The law forbids any charge being made for help in the preparation of the loan applications, but such fees as that of a notary, for recording, etc., are nllowiMl. A loan may not be approved for the amount applied for, and if it is reduced, re-duced, the proper reduction will be made on the forms filled out at the time the application is mude. In the event that the loan is not approved, the note and mortgage will be returned retur-ned to the applicant, the application and voucher being retained by thel office. The loans this year are net only limited to $300, but the l eg ilalions i require that the borrowers reduce j j the acreage of their cash crops 30 per , cent under that grown in 1932, except ; growers who farm very limited acre-1 ages. The regulations provide a fine i of up to $1,000 and imprisonment up to six months for material false rep- j resentations made to get a loan. i I As in the past, the borrower must I give a first lien on his crop. Loans bear interest at 5 and one half per' cent and are due on or before Ott-oher Ott-oher 31, 1933. The regulations make it unlawful for any person to dispose of or assi.-t in disposing of any crops given as security for any crop loan, except for ! the account of the secretary of Bg-; riculture and provide for fine and im-, prisunnient for violation of the reg- ulation. Each borrower must agree to plant a garden for his home use ' and to plant sufficient acreage to: furnish feed for his livestock. |
