Show i ADULT EDUCATION MEETING MONDAY Tentative Plans Made For Two Major Activities J A public meeting, to be held Mon-j I day evening, September 17, in thej j high school, will inaugurate an adult , education project in Milford in com-1 j mon with similar work in Miners- j j ville and Beaver. The sum of $96 a j month for the nine months school I term has been allotted Beaver county I from F E R A sources and this has ! ! been divided equally between the I three schools, allowing $32 a month to each. This amount is to be expended ex-pended only on a definite setup submitted sub-mitted and approved by the board of education, however. Incidentally, I Monday is the anniversary of the ; beginning of high school in the! United States, so that the meeting j , that night has extra sig-nificance. I I A brief meeting was held Thurs-J Thurs-J day night of last week at the high j school and some preliminary plans outlined for local work. It was there j explained by Principal P. E. Beecher ! that the basis of pay would be a dol- j lar for preparation and a dollar forj presentation of selected subjects toi organized classes. The project is for adults only, however, and none under 18 years of age is to participate. Tentative plans for the beginning of the work call for physical education educa-tion work to be supervised by Meli Heslington, former high school coach; and home beautification work to be supervised by Charles E. Beard Principal Beecher will organize the activities of the project for the time being, working in connection with Dave Heslington, S. G.
