Show " Society IRotes J" "Booster" Club Party The Booster's club of the Milford high school held a party at the home of Luella Bird Monday night. The evening was spent in playing games. A Birthday Dinner Party Mrs. Arthur Connell entertained at a dinner party Monday evening in honor of Mr. Connell's birthday. Invited In-vited guests were Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Dutson. Entertains in Honor of Daughter's Birthday Mrs. Jay C. JefTers entertained from four to six Friday in honor of the 9th birthday of her daughter Vera. A birthday cake with pink and white candles was the centerpiece center-piece for the table with Valentine decorations. de-corations. Indoor games were enjoyed. enjoy-ed. A delightful luncheon was served to fifteen guests. Miss Vera received numerous gifts and well-wishes for many more happy birthdays. Miss Hutchins Entertains at Bridge Miss Hannora Hutchins was hostess hos-tess to two tables of bridge Thursday-evening. Thursday-evening. A delicious midnight luncheon lunch-eon was served to: Mesdames Melbourne Mel-bourne Heslington, Lloyd Kohler, Wayne Richards, Misses Eva Coleman, Cole-man, Dorothy Levi, Margaret Williams, Wil-liams, Gladys Coleman, Delia Kirk and hostess. Prizes were won by Mrs. Richards and Miss Delia Kirk. Entertain In Honor of Mr. and Mrs. Joest Mrs. Rue Nelson was hostess to the American Legion and ladies of the Auxiliary at her home Monday-night Monday-night in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Al Joest, who are leaving for Salt Lake to make their home. Five hundred was played, prizes were awarded to Mrs. Ruth Fortie for high score, for the ladies, and Al Joest high score for men. Angie Lyman Ly-man winning consolation. Dainty refreshments were served by the hostess, assisted by Naomi Hughes, Edyth Coffeen, and Abbie Dutson. Mrs. Fay Davidson aftvej several beautiful piano selections. Mrs. Hughes presented in behalf of the Auxiliary a gift to Mrs. Joest. Invited guests besides the Legion and Auxiliary were Mrs. Lee Grey, Mr. and Mrs. McFadden and Mrs. Hilda Mathews. Rebekah Members Entertained The members of the Victory Rebekah Re-bekah lodge were entertained at a card party following lodge Wednesday Wednes-day evening. Five hundred was played play-ed and refreshments were served at midnight. Mrf. Karl Carlton won high prize. Mrs. James Glen won consolation. Committee members were: Mrs. Roy Coleman, Mrs. Sel-ma Sel-ma Carlson, Mrs. Vena Wilson and Miss Gladys Coleman. Bridge Party Miss Zola Fernley enertained the teachers at her home Thursday ; night, February 4. The following i program was given: A papers on "What English is and What it is j Striving to Accomplish," was given , by Miss Fernley. Mi-. Hand gave a I vocal solo, Dr. Parrish rendered a i violin solo and Mrs. Beecher a piano solo. I After the program Bridge was played until 11:30 p. m. when a luncheon, carrying out the valentine idea, was served. Mr. Beecher and Mrs. Hand won high prizes; Mr. Parsons and Mrs, Hughes were given the consolation prizes. Miss Coleman Entertains Bridge club Miss Gladys Coleman entertained the Bridge club at her home Tuesday evening. A delicious luncheon was served to the following guests: Mesdames Mes-dames E. A. Richards, Lloyd F. Kohler, Koh-ler, Melbourne Heslington and the Misses Eva Coleman, Erma Fother-ingham, Fother-ingham, Theone Gillins, Hannora Hutchins, and Mildred Killam. Prizes Priz-es were won by Mrs. Richards, points; Erma Fotheringham, honors; guest prizes were won by Miss Killam Kil-lam and Miss Gillins. The occasion being also the date of : Miss Fotheringham's birthday she was pleasantly7 surprised with a handkerchief shower. Auxiliary Holds Social Meeting The American Legion and Auxiliary Auxil-iary held a joint business and social i meeting Thursday night at the home of Mrs. Leonard Bowen. After the business meeting they joined in p'.ay-i p'.ay-i ing games. Dainty refreshments were served . The committee in charge were Mrs. Leonard Bowen, Lois Waddingham, . Edyth Coffeen, Artel Beecher, Orina i Carlson, Mae Chilton. |
