Show MRS. GARZAND IS . TAKEN BY DEATH Mrs. Adolphus Garzand died here last Saturday morning at about 8:30 after a lingering illness. Mrs. Gar- Zand's maiden name was Elizabeth Jane Thomas. She was born in South Wales, in 1863, and was 65 years, 11 days old at the time of her death. She was united in marriage to Steve Harris, who preceded her in death several years ago. To this union were born one son and three daughters. She later married Adolphu Garzand Gar-zand and two sons were born to them. All of the children were in attendance for the funeral services, Mrs. John Morrison coming from Parowan, Mrs. McDonald from Colorado, while Mrs. Charles Baker, Steve Harris, and the two younger sons were here. Largely attended funeral services were held from the L. D. S. chapel, Monday afternoon at two o'clock. They were in charge of Harry Ward. Speakers were Charles Nichols, a former resident here and old friend of Mrs. Garzand, and Patriarch Edwards. Ed-wards. Selections were rendered by the ladies quartette of the L. D. S. church and by Dan Ferguson. Interment In-terment was made at the Milford cemetery. Mrs. Gai'zand's life was a fruitful one rich in accomplishments. She was a resident of Milford from its earliest days, coming to the present town-site before there was a city laid cut here. In these many years, she has made hundreds of friends, who mourn her loss with her husband and children. |
