Show Little Note Appealed to Traffic Cop's Heart Mrs. Harrison, a yonng matron of Montclair, drove to the business section sec-tion to do a little shopping the other day. She swerved to the curb as she neured a store she Intended to patronize, pa-tronize, but before she had reached that point her motor stalled. For 10 minutes she tried to get It to start, but without success. She gave It up as a had job and alighted to summon a niecluinie. To her horror she discovered dis-covered that she was parked directly in front of a fire hydrant. Mrs. Hurrison knew that the Mont-clair Mont-clair police were strict about such a violation, bur she was resourceful. So she hastily wrote a note and stuck it In the window. It read : "Dear Mr. Officer -Police don't give me a ticker. I couldn't nuike the d d tiling go and I've gene for a mechanic." When she returned with the mechanic me-chanic she found a policeman reading the note and laughing heartily.
