While dairy herds were few in the immediate vicinity, through the untiring un-tiring efforts of Mr. Nelson, and his policy of square treatment and good prices he has extended the business until at present time the Valley Creamery is not only handling all the local cream on the market but is receiving re-ceiving large quantities from Millard, Iron counties and points in Nevada. The products of the Valley Creamery have also gained a reputa- tion for quality on both the local and foreign markets. At the present time the plant is producicng a thousand thou-sand pounds of fine creamery butter daily, with indications that they will be able to increase their output during dur-ing the coming year by the increase of dairyir- in this sction and extending extend-ing their buying terrritory. The creamery employs six people, and is a valuable asset to the town as well as the farmers of the valley. Mr. Nelson states that the outlook for the coming- months is very encouraging; en-couraging; that he expects butterfat to continue to advance to 34 or 35 cents, which is equalto $15.00 hay to the farmer. Mr. Nelson places much of the success suc-cess of the first year's business to the commmunity interest and co-operation he has received as well as to the producers. Milford is proud of its creamery, of the reputation it has gained during its initial year of operation, and extends ex-tends to Mr. Nelson and his associates associat-es its best wishes and co-operation for the coming year. |
