Show S O C I E T Y Entertaines at Bridge The Misses Gladys and Eva Coleman entertained at bridge Saturday evening even-ing in honor of Mrs. Chas. Mattingly. Prizes for points were won by Mrs. S. E. Turner; honors, Mrs. C. Mattingly. Refreshments were served to Mrs. E. Wayne Richards, Mrs. L. F. Kohler, Mrs. Max Root, Miss Erma Fother-ingttnm, Fother-ingttnm, and Miss Delia Kirk. ... Masquerade Ball The B of L E gave their first annual an-nual Masquerade ball Friday evening October 31st at the Arion Hall, which was a big success. Cash prizes were awarded for the best mask to Mrs. Fred McKay and Mrs. B. E. Hutchins, they both being dressed alike. Gentlemen's Gentle-men's prize Jerry Hancock. For the best costumes Miss Cathrine Smithson as an old fashioned girl, and Walter MeCuIley in a beautiful Turk costume. There was a very large percentage of the crowd iii costume, and some were very good characters. The judges were Dr. L. F. Kohler, J. R. Murdock, Mrs. Broyles, Miss James and Mrs. Raines. The dancers enjoyed the delicious de-licious apple cider, which was served by Miss Vernice Smith and Miss El--. . Ien Ford. The committee in charge of the affair, A. E. Smith, Otto Steen-bock, Steen-bock, S. O. Russey. The latter being out of town, J. I. Currie filled his place. The ladies of the G. I. A. entertained entertain-ed at the home of Mrs. O. A. Steen-bock Steen-bock Thursday evening in honor of Mrs. C. I. Hemstreet, of Salt Lake City. The evening was spent in playing play-ing bridge, Mrs. Lois Waddingham winning points, Mrs. Fay Smith honors, hon-ors, .Mrs. Hemstreet, guests. The following fol-lowing ladies present: Mrs. J. Killam, Mrs. J. C. JefTers, Mrs. John Hanlon, Mrs. L. B. Waddingham, Mrs. A. E. Smith, Mrs. W. Dawson, Mrs. W. G. White and Mrs. J. Lanirenbacher. the hostess was assisted in serving refreshments re-freshments by Mrs. Waddingham, Mrs. White and Mr. Killam. Mr. and Mrs. D. B. James announce the marriage of their daughter Wanda to James P. Holm. The wed- . ding took place Saturday, November 1st. The couple left immediately for Salt Lake and Montana. They will return November 10th to make their home at Milford on North Main St. C. C. Club A Progressive Hallowe'en party was given Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Litchfield, winding up at the II. W. Peterson home. High score was won by Mrs. Peterson, consolation consola-tion Mrs. E. Lyman. Those present were Mrs. C. R. Crawford, Mrs. Wayne Lyman, Mrs. E. D. Lyman, Mrs. Geo. Litchfield, Mrs. II. W. Pet-! Pet-! erson. Invited guests were Maria (Banks and LaVern Davis. All present pre-sent received Hallowe'en favors. I o |
