Hughes entertained enter-tained the members of the Milford High School faculty and their partners part-ners at their home last Wednesday evening. Tables were arranged for five hundred which was enjoyed by Mr. and Mrs. Lorus Hand, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Eeecher, Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Bingham, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Heslington, Hes-lington, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Heslington Miss Jean Woodside, Miss Zola Fern-ley, Fern-ley, Mr. Lee Andersen, Mr. LaVell Parsons and the host and hostess. Mrs. Beecher received the first prize for women, Mrs. Bingham received the consolation, Mel Heslington received re-ceived first prize for men and Dave - . Heslington the consolation. A t the close of a very delightful evening Mrs. Hughes served a two course lunch lun-ch to the guests. Entertains Bridge dub Mrs. Magdelena White was a delightful de-lightful hostess to the members of her bridge club when she entertained entertain-ed Wednesday night. Mrs. White had or.e invited guest, Mrs. Alice Low. Members present were, Mrs. Freda Outzen, Mrs. Theresa Pitchforth, Mrs. Prudence Jensen, Mrs. Clara McFadden, Mrs. Ethel Smith, Mrs. Geneva Mitchell,and Mrs. Zula Webb. The club prize was awarded to Mrs. Ethel Smith, and the guest prize was awarded to Mrs. Alice Low. Tasty refreshments were served to the guests by Mrs. White at a late hour. Entertains at Bridge r Mrs. D. E. Kirk was hostess to her bridge club Friday evening entertaining en-tertaining Mrs. J. R. Murdock Jr., Mrs. M. P. Lewis, Mrs. J. Williams, Mrs. LaMar Outzen, Mrs. J. Weston; Mrs. Spence Schow, and Miss Letha Schow, all members of the club and Mrs. J. C. Smith a guest. Mrs. Murdock Mur-dock was awarded the first prize for points, Mrs. Schow was awarded the second prize for honors and Mrs. Outzen received the consolation pr-ize. pr-ize. At midnight Mrs. Kirk served a delectable luncheon to her guests. Entertains at Dinner Mrs. D. B. James entertained at a six o' clock dinner Sunday in honor I of her son, Tom, whose birthday it was. The guests were Mr. and Mrs. James Holm, Mrs. Ehoda Stewart, Miss Ruby Stewart and the D. B. James family. Following the dinner bridge was enjoyed by all. Install Officers Installation of officers to serve the L. S. to B. of L. F. & E. took place at the Odd Fellows hall Friday after noon, December 16th. Officers installed in-stalled and their posts were, President, Presi-dent, Lou Melcher; Vice President, Flora Hanlon; Secretary, Ethel Smith; Sm-ith; Treasurer, Louree Mo-ore; Collector, Coll-ector, Flora Hanlon; Chaplain, Lula Yither,; Warden, Hilda Boylan; Conductor, Con-ductor, Ethel Smith; Guards, Flora Hanlon; Delegate, Ethel Smith; Al-ernate, Al-ernate, Louree Moore; Board of trustees, trus-tees, Ethel Smith, Lula Yither and Hlda Boylan. After the installation two new. members, Mrs. Freda Smith and Mrs. B. Fotheringham were initiated into the lodge. Friday evening a party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Melcher in honor of the two new members. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Moore, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hanlon, Mr. and Mrs. Nathen E. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Fotheringham Mr. andMrs. 0. R. Smith and the host and hostess. Bridge formed the entertainment of the evening with first prize for points being awarded to Mrs. O. R. Smith; second prize to Mrs. Wilson Moore; and the consolation consol-ation prize going to Mrs. Nathan E. Smith.
