Show DEATH OF MRS. MAUD SHERWOOD BRINGS SORROW SOR-ROW TO COMMUNITY Mrs. Maud lone Sherwood, wife of Dan Sherwood, died at the local hospital hos-pital Saturday evening at 6:15 i o'clock, following a caesarean operation opera-tion at the birth of a son. The child weighed 8t pounds and is doing fine, but the mother was unable to withstand with-stand the shock. Mrs. Sherwood was born at Min- iersville, Utah, April 30, 1909, a daughter of Thos. S. and Bertha Wood Evans. She was united in marriage mar-riage to Daniel H. Sherwood, of Milford, Mil-ford, on October 29, 1929. She had been a devoted member of the L. D. S. church during her life-time. Funeral services were held at Min- . ersville Tuesday afternoon, at the L D.- S. church, with- Truman Rollins-in charge. The opening prayer was made by Chas. Jamison,' and the speakers were E. H. Bird, Dr. Chas. R. Par-rish, Par-rish, Geo. H. Eyre and Floyd Woods. Music was furnished by the choir and two duets were rendered by Vivian Viv-ian Rollins and Sylvia Marshall, and Eileen Jamison and Alvarette Robinson. Robin-son. James Wood pronounced the bene-Biction bene-Biction and the grave at the Minersville Miners-ville cemetery was dedicated by E. H. Bird. There was a large crowd of sorrowing friends and relatives at the services and the many beautiful floral offerings were testimonies of the love and respect held for the young mother. The bereaved husband, mother and father have the sincere sympathy of the entire community. |
