H Hillman Hill Hill- man state apiarist In your last issue I notice you mention the honey mixture as an freeze anti preparation for automobiles automo- automo biles and I think it will be well to publish a few rew words of caution inthe In Inthe the preparation of the honey It has been thoroughly tried out L in some of the eastern states as well as In some parts of this state last winter and it has been found that a preparation of half haIr water and half honey boiled together will stand in inthis inthis this climate but 3 1 1 honey loney to 3 2 water would freeze The honey and water should be thoroughly boiled together before put In the radiator otherwise the water may separate from the honey and freeze As the water evaporates more may be added added add add- ed as it Is found that the hones honet does not evaporate At 16 degrees beloz zero this mixture half and half was found to congeal Into mush Ice but did not freeze solid I think jt would be well to mention this in your paper as some might put In the honey and water s separate separate- separately ly and therefore the water would be apt to freeze and an cause trouble a |
